The plan!
In 2011, I am going to write a short scene every week and post it. This project is experimental and primarily a learning tool for me; I have little doubt plenty of the 52 will expose the rookie playwright I am. I hope to use this as my training ground.
The rules!
Each scene (or, on ambitious weeks, play with several scenes) will be short--between 2 and 10 pages, give or take--and will conform to the theme of the month. The monthly theme could be a setting (a wedding, a therapist's office, or the subway, for example), a shared experience (routines, pet peeves, regrets) or some other common element. That's pretty much it.
My hope!
I hope this blog provides some measure of entertainment or amusement to someone other than me, which is a hope that will keep me posting regularly.
